Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Devopstick ("we", "us", "our") at devopstick.cloudplatformlabs.dev (the "Platform"). By registering an account or accessing any content on the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use this Platform. By using Devopstick, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. Users between 13 and 18 should have parental or guardian consent. We reserve the right to terminate accounts of users who do not meet this requirement.

2. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts for the same person.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • We reserve the right to refuse registration or cancel accounts at our discretion.

3. Access & Pricing

Devopstick currently provides access to learning content free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid tiers, premium content, or subscription plans in the future. Existing users will be given advance notice of any such changes. Free content will remain accessible unless explicitly stated otherwise.

4. Intellectual Property

All course content, lesson materials, images, logos, branding, and software on the Platform are the intellectual property of Devopstick or its respective licensors.

  • Permitted use: You may access and view content for your personal, non-commercial learning purposes only.
  • Prohibited use: You may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, sublicense, sell, scrape, or create derivative works from any Platform content without our prior written consent.
  • Your content: By submitting content (lessons, blog posts, comments) to the Platform, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display and distribute that content on the Platform. You retain ownership of your original content.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload or share content that is illegal, defamatory, abusive, harassing, or discriminatory.
  • Infringe the intellectual property rights of others.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, systems, or networks.
  • Introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code.
  • Use the Platform for spamming, phishing, or any commercial solicitation.
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Platform using automated tools.
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Platform or its infrastructure.

6. Learning Progress & Badges

Devopstick tracks your learning progress (lesson completions, enrollments, quiz results) to personalise your experience and award achievement badges. These records are maintained as long as your account is active.

  • Badges: Achievement badges are awarded automatically based on completion criteria set by the platform administrators. They are non-transferable and have no monetary value.
  • Course Completion: We do not currently issue formal certificates of completion. Badges serve as in-platform recognition of achievement.
  • Content changes: Course content, modules, and lessons may be updated, restructured, or removed. We will make reasonable efforts to preserve your progress history.

7. Content Moderation

All user-submitted content (lessons, blog posts) is subject to review and approval by our moderation team before publication. We reserve the right to:

  • Approve, reject, or remove any submitted content without prior notice.
  • Suspend or permanently ban accounts that repeatedly violate these Terms.
  • Remove content that is outdated, inaccurate, or no longer relevant.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please read it carefully to understand how we collect and process your data.

9. Third-Party Links & Services

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. These are provided for convenience only. We have no control over their content and accept no responsibility for them or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them.

10. Disclaimers

The Platform and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
  • Course content is always accurate, complete, or up to date. DevOps tooling evolves rapidly; always verify information from official documentation.
  • Completion of any course or learning path guarantees employment, certification, or a specific professional outcome.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Devopstick and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of progress records, or loss of access to content.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the preceding 12 months (which is currently nil, as the Platform is free).

12. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your Profile settings. We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination:

  • Your access to the Platform will be immediately revoked.
  • Personal data will be handled in accordance with our Data Retention Policy.
  • Content you have published may be retained or removed at our discretion.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through informal negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.

For EU/EEA users, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws in your country of residence.

14. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. For significant changes, we will notify registered users via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
